Craft Projects

I have a few crafts I like to do.  Right now I have 2 scarves I've been knitting.  They were are Christmas presents (just don't tell Kym and my Mother).  Part of my problem is that I like to do a few different things and I can't find enough time to do any of them.

This is the scarf I have in progress for one of my BF's.  She loves green.

The only problem is I don't think it's long enough.  Right now it's about 2ft.  I would like it closer to 5ft.  I've got a ways to go huh?

The other thing I really like is making jewelry.  I don't take the time to sit and design but I love the beads.  I think Hubby thinks I love the beads more than creating.  He may be right, just don't tell him I said so.

Lastly, I just got a new mag in the mail.  I really like looking through all sorts of them for inspiration.  I haven't had a chance to look through it but the cover looks good. If you like making jewelry you'd enjoy it too.

So at some point the scarved will be done.  Kym's is first on my list.  I also intend on sitting down and flipping through the mag this weekend.  Maybe I will even make a couple sets of necklaces and earring.

I will keep you posted.

P.S.  Thankfully photography doesn't take much time, my camera is always with me and ready.  LOL

Enjoy the View

Through these last few months we've had this to look at!  The storms come fast and fierce and almost weekly.  Life goes on during the winter.  I came across this, I do think it's quite fitting and if you live in a winter climate you'll understand.

Winter is nature's way of saying, "Up Yours"

Every now and then when the skies clear and the trees glisten it can be breathtaking.  We did have a little ice one night, nothing to loose your power or your pants over but it did coat everything.

There are times after a long busy day on the ride home that the timing is perfect.  I've learned through the years to take advantage of these times and not to let life speed by you.  I try to stop, roll down the windows (even if it's 10 degrees) and breath in the crisp air and just enjoy the view.

This week it is like Spring.  40's and 50's.  Unbelievable.
The time is coming soon, less than a month, to turn the clocks again.

Didn't you hear me?

Aren't you excited??

Spring ahead is just under a month away.  Then before we know it we will be stopping at a different but just as wonderful view.

Oh dear Summer Oh how I miss You.

So, til next time Enjoy the view.

Sand or Snow

So, this morning I looked outside to see some new fresh flakes.  We got just over an inch of snow.  I know this doesn't sound like much, but when you add it to the other 70 dang inches it adds up.  Each and every day I think about sinking my toes into the warm soft beach sand.  But instead my boots are sinking in the snow and covered in salt and dirty slush.

And believe me, my feet do not look that good right now.

new day late night

So I'm wrapping this up in the beginning.  It's my first post and a little boring.  It will only get better I can assure you.  I've worked on the basic set up for sometime tonight and for the last day or so.  I can't sign out without a post after all that.  I won't have much for pictures tonight but will in most posts.  I'm starting this for many personal, selfish reasons and apolozige for that ;)
I hope to get more creative and more daring.  I want to put more time and effort into my creativity.  I think my soul needs it.  I also hope by putting it our there in the wild web world I will get more comfortable  daring in my creative skin.
I hope you come allowing on my journey it could get a little crazy and alot of anxiousness. (Is that a word?)

See you soon aka tomorrow
